Our Meerkats room offers a fun, relaxed, and welcoming space for children aged 4 to 11, who attend before and after school or join us during the holidays. Designed with older children in mind, Meerkats provides the perfect balance between independence, creativity, and comfort — a place where friendships grow, ideas come alive, and every child can unwind after the structure of the school day.
Before School Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club gives children a calm, positive start to their morning. We provide a nutritious breakfast, gentle activities, and a relaxed atmosphere to help children ease into the day. Children can play, chat with friends, or enjoy quiet time before we safely accompany them to school.
After School Club
After a busy day at school, children need space to relax, explore, and recharge — and Meerkats offers exactly that. Our after school sessions include:
- Creative arts and crafts
- Construction and STEM challenges
- Cosy corners for reading or downtime
- Outdoor play and group games
- Opportunities for free choice and child-led activities
We follow the children’s interests, giving them room to express themselves and develop independence while still receiving support from our practitioners.
Holiday Club
During school holidays, Meerkats becomes a lively hub of adventure, creativity, and exploration. Our Holiday Club offers a variety of themed activities, outdoor adventures, crafts, baking, science experiments, and plenty of time for children to pursue their own ideas. Each day is planned to be exciting, enriching, and memorable, while still offering the relaxed feel older children enjoy.

The Meerkats environment is warm, welcoming, and full of opportunities for children to choose the kind of play or relaxation that suits them best. We encourage independence, teamwork, and problem-solving, while giving children the freedom to simply be themselves in a safe, friendly setting.
Our practitioners build positive, respectful relationships with the children, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and involved in shaping the activities on offer.

Club Information
Breakfast Club
We offer a friendly and reliable Breakfast Club for children.
- Ages 4 - 11 years
- 7.45am - 8.55am
Children can start their day with a choice of healthy, hearty breakfasts in a calm and welcoming environment before school. After breakfast, children are safely escorted and dropped off at Capel St Mary Primary School, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to the school day for both children and parents.

After School Club
Our After School Club is a relaxed and engaging place for children.
- Ages 4 - 11 years
- 3.25pm - 4.30pm
- 3.25pm - 5.00pm
- 3.25pm - 6.00pm
Children can unwind and explore activities led by their own interests, while supported by our caring practitioners. We offer three sessions to suit your family needs, with all options including an after school snack. A two course dinner is provided for those children staying between 3.25pm - 6.00pm.

Holiday Club
Our Holiday Club is a fun and welcoming place.

- 7.45am - 1.00pm
- 1.00pm - 6.00pm
We offer full-day sessions, as well as two half-day options, to suit your needs. Meals are included, with nutritious food provided throughout the day. Children can enjoy a range of exciting activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play, making every day different. Our Holiday Club is a safe, friendly, and fun-filled place to be during the holidays!
