Robin’s Childcare Policies and Procedures
Why We Have Policies
The policies and procedures outlined on this page belong to Robin’s Childcare and have been developed to ensure a safe, supportive, and well-managed environment for all children and families using our service. They explain how Robin’s Childcare operates on a daily basis, the standards we follow, and the expectations for both staff and families. These guidelines help maintain consistency, safeguard children’s wellbeing, and ensure that everyone understands the practices that support high-quality childcare.

Poorly Children
The aim of this policy
At Robin’s Childcare, the health and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We understand that children can become unwell from time to time, and our policy on poorly children is designed to protect all children, families, and staff from the spread of illness while ensuring those who are unwell receive the care and rest they need. We ask parents and carers to keep children at home if they are showing symptoms of contagious illness and to inform us promptly of any diagnoses. By working together and following recommended health guidance, we can maintain a safe, caring, and healthy environment for everyone in our setting.

Complaints Procedure
The aim of this policy
There is a fair way of dealing with issues as they arise in an informal way, but parents/carers may wish to exercise their right to make a formal complaint. They are informed of the procedure to do this, and complaints are responded to in a timely way. The same procedures apply to agencies who may have a grievance or complaint.
