Preschool Room

The Preschool room caters for children from 2 years to 5 years for sessional day care, taking into account the free funding entitlement from the government.

The preschool room is designed for that first step into your childs educational years. The spacious room has a free flow system so the children can choose to play out side or in, with a large canopy over the door enabling them access into the garden even when it is raining. The preschool room with its low level windows gives the children a lovely view on to the school, so they can watch there friends at play and gain insight into the school they will go to. All the room has been designed for their level including low level sinks and toilets in individual cubicles. We have a good relationship with the schools early years team so you can be guaranteed of a smooth transition when the time comes for them to move on to the school.

There is a keyworker system in place within the room for staff to get to know all the children so they can develop at their own individual rate. When the sessional day care has finished we offer a lunch club if you wish your child to continue into the afternoon for more fun.

The preschool ethos and planning is done so to the guidance of the EYFS taking into account each child's strengths and weaknesses and guiding them in the right direction.

The preschool is open for ten sessions giving you as a busy parent the flexibility to choose sessions that work for you.
