Meals, Transitions and Community
Meals
Our meals are on a 4 week rotation and done so that all the children get to experience different types of food.
We aim to incorporate the 5 fruit and veg a day into our menus.
We accommodate for varying dietary and allergy requirements and will provide a meal to fit with these needs.
Transition
It can be a very hard time for your child and for you when they start nursery or move up to different rooms, so here at Robins we make sure that this is a calm and stress free process.
Before your child starts with us we offer free trial sessions, for you to come in with your child and get to know the staff who will be looking after them, to get acquainted with the room, and meet new friends.
This is a good opportunity for your childs keyperson to ask any questions regarding your child, i.e. routines but also for you to ask questions and put your mind at ease.

When it is time for your child to move up rooms, they will also have trial session with their keyperson, so they can slowly ease into the new room and meet their new keyperson.
When it comes to that time and they move on to school. the pre-school staff and the schools early years team will work together to make this an easy process.
Part of the Community
We regularly try to get out into the village, to go to the park or for a little walk, sometimes going to do a job like go to the post office or to the shops.
We also like to attend the library for a little sing or to look at books in a different environment.
The children enjoy going out and doing this, its good physically but also socially so they can view the world in which they live in.
